Frequently Asked Questions

Do you support organizations with high tax-derived funding? In general "No," but we recognize organizations in rural Colorado have special circumstances.

Do you require a final funding report? Yes. Final reports are submitted through your online profile.

Is the Adolph Coors Foundation part of MillerCoors Brewing Company? No. The Adolph Coors Foundation is a family foundation and not connected in any way to the brewery.

Do you meet with nonprofits prior to online application? We prefer to meet with the nonprofit after we have reviewed the application, but we are happy to answer any questions by phone or email you might have before you apply.

Do you fund public policy programs that are not based in Colorado? Yes we do. Please refer to the Priorities Tab on our website for more information.

When can I apply for public policy funding? Applications are accepted December 1 - March 15;

How do I get an integrative medicine project accepted for review? Integrative medicine projects are reviewed on a selective basis. We are happy to discuss, by telephone, to determine if a proposal is appropriate.

Where is the Adolph Coors Foundation located? We are located in Denver although we fund nonprofits throughout the State of Colorado.

Do you have to have a 501(c)(3) designation to apply for funding? Yes

Do you fund pass-thru organizations? No

When are your deadlines? March 1, July 1, November 1 and March 15

How long is the review process? Typically about four months after applying.

Do you accept the common grant application? No. As of November 2011, our foundation has gone strictly to an online application.

Do you accept requests for operating, capital or program support? Yes, if your agency's mission aligns with ACF's funding priorities.

How much can we ask for? There is no set amount. Evaluate the size of your budget and your organization's needs.

Do you fund schools or school-related projects? No. Although after school or academic enrichment programs in conjunction with nonprofits will be considered.

Do you fund individuals, seminars, one-time events or sponsorships for meetings? No.

Do you fund disease-specific national health organizations? No.
