John Arigoni, president and CEO of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Denver
Every day, thousands of Colorado kids have a safe, inspiring place to go outside of school hours, thanks to the staff and volunteers at Colorado Boys & Girls Clubs. Step inside a neighborhood club, and you will see a beehive of activity as enthusiastic kids, ages 6 to 18, receive academic support and technology training, feed their inner artist, hone their leadership skills and play sports.
It is here that some of Colorado’s children first find vision and hope for their future and from what the Foundation staff has seen, their futures look bright. Boys & Girls Clubs have a proven track record of working with kids, including those from the most difficult circumstances — making the Boys & Girls Clubs a natural fit for the Foundation, which began funding the Clubs when the Foundation opened in 1976.
